These ancient Roman Constantine the Great coins are from my own collection of Roman Imperial coinage and date back to about 307 - 337 A.D. During his reign Christianity began to transition to being the dominant religion of the Roman Empire. Found in a hoard, they have survived the centuries and have a beautiful, bronze-brown patina.
Coins were often buried in antiquity for safekeeping and for whatever reasons, their owners never came back for them. In modern times they are found in these hoards. New ones are found frequently, especially in Britain. Wouldn't you just love to know the stories this coin could tell?
Set in solid 22 karat gold in an ancient inspired granulated design with an open back to make the reverse side of the coins visible. Each coin is different but similar. One earring shows the front (obverse) of the coin and the other shows the reverse side.
Each coin pair is unique and will vary from the photo. Coin colors can vary from brown to green patina. Made to Order.
Coins are a little larger than a U.S. dime and are slightly off round. Ear wires are handcrafted 18 karat gold.
If you have your own coin or would like different ones from my collection, please feel free to email me.
