Three stacked silver bands are fused together and decorated with alternating groups of three pure 22k gold granules, employing the ancient art of granulation. This technique takes years of practice using the purest of metals. Each tiny branch and granule is made by hand; making enough for one piece of jewelry can take weeks. Each granule is then placed one by one on the piece with a tiny brush. The piece is heated almost to the melting point. At that precise moment, the granules fuse and become one with item being granulated. Look at museum collections featuring ancient jewelry and you’ll recognize this technique. This ring is 6 mm wide and 2 mm thick. Each ring is made to order and can be customized with 1 or more extra stacked rings as well as in solid gold (contact customer care for pricing). Sizing is not possible after the ring is made, so the artist will mail you a sizing tool (yours to keep) to insure proper fit. Available in whole and half sizes from 6 to 12. Fabrication time includes the time to mail the sizer, if you have a ring size measurement from a wide measuring tool the ring can be made in about 2 weeks. As each ring is entirely handmade, the pattern will differ slightly from the photos.
