22k Granulated Ruby Earrings

Are you looking for a great day to night pair of earrings? Understated and timeless, there's nothing like high karat gold paired with ruby red, for looking polished.  

In the ancient tradition of granulation, 10 x 8 mm oval earrings are made from custom 22k gold alloy. Each granule, sheet and wire element is made by hand. Hundreds of granules are created, one at a time. The piece is carefully heated to just under the melting point of gold, where the granules fuse and become one with the piece. Granulation is an ancient technique, seen in many pieces from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Byzantium.

These earrings are set with 3mm round faceted rubies. Hand fabricated ear wires are 18k. Granulation pattern may differ slightly from the photo.   These earrings can be customized with your choice of gemstone, email me for more information.
