Arizona Sky - Turquoise Ring with Granulation

Arizona Sky Ring features a beautiful oval turquoise set in a 22k bezel with granulation.  Sterling silver half round band completes the picture. 

Turquoise is one of the world’s most ancient gems. Archaeological excavations revealed that the rulers of ancient Egypt adorned themselves with turquoise jewelry. Over 3,000 years ago, the Chinese were using it for carvings. The gem’s name originated in the 13^th Century from the French expression pierre tourques, or “Turkish stone.”  Native American tribes in the Southwestern US used turquoise for jewelry, amulets and exchange of goods.
