The Aegean seems to have it's own shade of sapphire blue that has inspired artisans for thousands of years. When I found this stone, it brought me back to the beautiful island of Crete.
It's rectangular Apatite cabochon is set in 22K gold with groups of four granules on each side. A unique feature of this stone is, adularescence, the light that appears to billow across a gem, caused by the scattering of light between its microscopic layers.
Stone is 12x6 mm and size 8. (Sizing is available for a nominal charge - please email me for details) One of a kind, signed.
