Roman Holiday 22K Granulated Gemstone Pendants

Joyous colors in sparkling gemstones on a 22 karat gold granulated background.  Influences are ancient Etruscan and Roman jewelry; each pendant holds the gemstone of your choice. Shown here in blue sapphire, rubellite tourmaline and green tourmaline.  

Granulation is an ancient decorative technique mastered by relatively few goldsmiths; it takes years of practice using the purest of metals. Each tiny granule is made by hand and then placed one by one using a tiny brush. The piece is fired with a torch until the back sheet permanently fuses with the granules. Modern granulation is as beautiful today as it was 3,000 years ago.

Available with or without a chain; choose from blue sapphire, rubellite tourmaline or green tourmaline.  Stones are about 6 mm bezel set round, faceted gems. Pendants are about 18 mm or the approximate size of a dime.  Other colors/gems available on request (price will be quoted). Gemstone colors can vary from photos.
