Positive Thinking - Cloisonne Enamel with Sapphire

Jewelry making needs positive thinking for an artist to turn an idea into an actual, wearable piece. Cloisonné enameling especially needs a boost of positive thinking; it is a tricky and often temperamental process.

This cloisonné jewel has 24 karat gold wire work in an abstract pattern, featuring a tiny blue sapphire in its center.  There's a roll printed, textured back for the setting and the enamel has been hand polished to a soft luster. Once complete, it is set in a 22 karat gold bezel with granulated accents, on a sterling silver band.
