A tiny bunch of solid 22k gold grapes has lush green emerald leaves. A diamond sparkles on top like a drop of rain. In an unusual use of granulation, each tiny 22k gold grape is made by hand, one by one, in various sizes. They are fused together using the ancient art of granulation. The piece is carefully heated to just under the melting point of gold, where the granules fuse and become one with the piece.
Granulation is an ancient technique, seen in many pieces from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Byzantium. The pendant includes an 18k gold chain 18 inch chain. Grapes have a flat back, which is typical of granulated pieces. As in nature, no two handmade grape clusters will look alike.
