Black Tahitian Pearl and 22k Granulated Pendant

This very special Black Tahitian Pearl Pendant is inspired by ancient designs that feature granulation. The 22k gold scallop cap sits on top of the 12mm slightly oval pearl and hangs from 18k gold chain with lobster clasp. Completely handcrafted from alloy to granule, piece may vary slightly from the photo.

Granulation takes years of practice using the purest of metals. Granules are made by hand, one by one and placed on the piece with a small brush.  The piece is then heated almost to the melting point. At that precise moment, the wires fuse and become all one piece.
