Endless Sea - Indicolite Tourmaline Ring

This delicate, ocean inspired blue tourmaline solitaire is set in a 22 karat gold bezel on a wave textured 18 karat gold band.  Blue tourmalines are called "indicolite" though tourmalines are one of the few gemstones that can be found in  rainbow of colors. Part of their beauty is that they are "pleochroic." Pleochroism is an optical phenomenon in which a mineral has different colors when observed at different angles, especially with polarized light.  Tourmalines have been said to open the doors of perception and enhance intuition. Makes a beautiful stacking ring.

Stone is 6 mm round, faceted indicolite (blue) tourmaline. Fits size 8, 8 1/4 and 8.5.
