Ancient Greek Horses Grazing Cuff Links

In the ancient Greek world, horses were highly valued, and were represented on many of their coins; with one famous horse series appearing from about 400 BC to 323 BC.

These are the Larissa coins, with charming depictions of horses in different stances. These cuff links come from sterling silver castings (replicas) of the actual ancient coin, which shows the horses grazing with front legs are straight and necks dipping straight toward the ground. Coin castings are blank on the backs.

Hinged backs, signed on the back, one of a kind. Soft, brush finish.  Approximately  1/2 inch diameter.
