Tanzanite was discovered in the hills of Northern Tanzania by Masai tribesman and remains the sole source of Tanzanite to this day. An extremely desirable gemstone, it can show two colors - blue and violet - depending on the way the light hits the stone.
To make this Tanzanite even more unique, gem cutters have skillfully carved a flower pattern into the top of the cabochon. The beauty of the stone is further enhanced by the rich yellow of pure 22k gold and ancient gold granulation on the sides. Behind the Tanzanite is a pure silver backsheet which brings out the color of the stone. Sterling silver ring band. Tanzanite is 8 carats and measures 15 x 10 mm. Stones are hand picked and may vary slightly in color and cut from the photo.
